Where does one start to begin the journey of their own spirituality? That to some may seem like an easy answer but to many, the answer is not quite so easy. Many out there in this world are what one can refer to as "lost souls". My statement to that is, there are no lost souls in this world and when people can stop thinking of themselves as lost, they will discover, they are exactly where they are suppose to be. When I first thought about spirituality, I was rather puzzled myself. I was left wondering what my ideas of being spiritual were. Does being spiritual mean you have to believe in God? I have asked this question to someone very dear to me, her answer was, "I am spiritual but I do not necessarily believe in God". I was left wondering how one can be spiritual if they do not believe in God. Is this actually possible? As some much soul searching for that answer, it did come to me, the answer was clear. Being spiritual does not mean you have someone or something you worship. It is simply a feeling within yourself, a believing within yourself. It is a feeling of knowing the unknown. What does being spiritual mean to YOU?
Religion is an issue that so many in this world are fighting wars over. I believe within my soul, religion was not meant as means of control, intimidation, damnation or anything else that is harmful to any soul. Religion I believe was created more as means of rules in life to live by in harmony and peace. If we took religion out of this world, what would this world look like? If you can for a moment take some time to ponder the idea of what YOU think this world would look like. Please feel free to share your ideas as they will be posted on this site.
My idea about religion is that if I could take every religion, put them all together in one spot, I would have created the perfect religion. Because if you can take away all the nuts and bolts, everyone is correct in their belief. The one that is the highest, the almighty, never intended for there to be so much hatred and anger toward each other. But the fact remains, we are here on this earth to learn lessons about life and maybe even do things we didn't complete in past lives. The other idea is we are here to help someone out or maybe help many people out. So, are we lost, no, we aren't lost. We are exactly right where we are suppose to be...
